Kurt taught three courses (What is Wealth Management Course, How to Build a Financial Plan Course and How to Build an Investment Portfolio Course) for Chartered Accountants across Ontario and Manitoba, with full day seminars in the following cities: Markham, Toronto, Barrie, Waterloo, Kitchener, London, Mississauga and Winnipeg. Kurt continues to be a qualified instructor of personal finance for Chartered Accountant Institutes in Canada.

In 2009, Kurt was asked to comment in the national newspapers, radio or television ten times on matters of investment planning, retirement planning, insurance, tax planning, cash flow management and estate planning. |

Kurt was a guest on City TV in Toronto, Toronto's most popular breakfast television channel. Kurt was interviewed about tax planning and why it is bad to get a tax refund after filing your tax return. |

Kurt presented gave a one hour talk to the Toronto Beaches Momnet group, a group of stay-at-home mom's on maternity leave. The talk covered cash flow management, tax planning, RESPs, getting a Will prepared, life insurance and deal with the mortgage. |

Kurt was the featured speaker at a downtown Toronto function hosted by one of the world's largest mining companies. Kurt spoke for 90 minutes on sensible financial strategies for troubled times, providing guidance on money management in the face of job loss, falling stock markets and falling home values. |

Kurt was also asked to headline the mainstage on Saturday afternoon, speaking on the topic of "Financial Planning in the 2009 Recession" to more than 300 people.
